Wifi drivers for Realtek RTL8821CE (Elementary|Debian)

I am the proud owner of an HP Pavilion laptop. However, when I switched to a Debian-based system my Wifi drivers did not work out of the box. Since the drivers for Realtek RTL8821CE are not in the official Debian repositories. This article will help you how to get the Wifi drivers to work

Install wifi driver

Clone the following GitHub repository: https://github.com/tomaspinho/rtl8821ce.

Open a terminal in the cloned directory.

Check if dkms-install.sh is executable by running ls -lAh. If it is not run chmod +x dkms-install.sh.

Now run sudo ./dkms-install.sh.

Once installed make sure to check that Secure Boot is disabled in the BIOS.
