Fix Proxmox Cluster Issues

You are here:
< Back to the Wiki

Do you have a Proxmox Cluster and do you have some issues with the server if not all servers are connected in the cluster? This article will help you with some clues on debugging this situation.

Prerequisites

It is assumed that your Proxmox instance has been registered in a cluster, more information is here (wiki.mphslaats.com).

Lower expectations

In case you have a cluster with multiple nodes and only one of them is online, you can try lowering the expected online nodes using pvecm e 1.

Run cluster locally

If you lowered the cluster expectations and you still do not have a working cluster/node, you can try running the cluster in local mode. Do this by stopping the cluster and forcing it into local mode as follows:

systemctl stop pve-cluster
/usr/bin/pmxcfs -l
