Add WordPress website to TransIP

Do you have a TransIP subscription for your domain and do you want to add a WordPress website? This article will explain how to fully set up your domain with a WordPress website for TransIP.

Prerequisites

Do you already have a website or CMS installed on your domain? Did you hit your database quota? Make sure to delete your database before you continue, otherwise, you might get an unknown error.

Installation

Go to transip.eu and click on Control panel, fill in your login credentials, and Sign in. Click on Domain & Hosting and select your domain from the list. Under Webhosting click Manage webhosting (as of mid-2023 the control panel for webhosting is renewed). At the top click Site followed by Install WordPress. Under choose database select Automagically create a database & user. Under choose CMS, fill in the following:

• Site: Select your domain name
• Cms: WordPress
• Version: 6.2.2 (or newer if you like)
• Language: American English (en-US)
• Login user: Fill in your desired username
• Password: Fill in your desired password
• Verify password: Fill in your desired password again
• E-mail address: Fill in your desired administrator email
• Site title: Fill in your desired site title

Select the confirm installation box and click Install.

This will now redirect you to the main page of the control panel. To view your new site go to your domain name, you should now be able to log in with the previously set credentials.
